Some not so young ones (sorry Andy) went over to Wantage on Sunday for the first of the seasons local races, the White Horse half marathon, to join a field of 422 runners enjoying a bit of sunshine. After all the very cold weather it was great to run in vest and shorts and not feel too cold. The conditions were very good for running with little wind, which can be a problem on flat courses. The race was won by Paul Fernandez of Abingdon in a time of 1.11.22 who also won last years race.
The first of the Banbury athletes was Simon Pritchard in 21st place and 8th V40 in a time of 1.22.03.
Other Harriers were
Phil Coy 60th   1.29.36
Niel Frape 133rd 1.39.27 PB
Amanda Hallum 177th 1.45.13
Andy Bartlett 242nd 1.52.50
