Report on the Home fixture.

The Banbury Harriers /Bicester composite team in YDL U13/15 League on Saturday at The North Oxon Academy soared as high as the temperature in the final fixture in this league this summer.
 The team in the previous three fixtures had many highlights but none in depth to challenge for promotion. Saturday was proof what might have been with solid performances in both age group, even thou the team could have been stronger when winning the fixture.
In the under fifteen boy’s Michael Quinn matched the best in both the 200and 300 metres, he also joined up with Jake Cherry in the javelin and both boy’s gained high places of the eight competing teams .
 Michael Dawes produced a winning personal best in the hammer he also won the discus and gained good points in the shot. Both Connor Wilce and      Seb Hartwell gained high places in the long jump the former took good points in the shot and the latter in the high jump.
 In the same age group for the girls Naomi Anderson ran strongly in both the 100 and 200metres. Emily Thompson took the 1500metres with ease and Rebecca Scott gained good points in both the high jump and pole vault.
 In the younger age group Victoria Harte had two excellent second places in the 70metre hurdles and shot both with personal bests. She teamed up with Evie Hawkins in the long jump, both girls finishing in high positions. Hawkins then gained a personal best in the high jump of 1m 35cm. Shannon Dawes gained an excellent second in the javelin
 In the boys age group there were strong performances from Charlie Yates and Felix Noble.
