Report on the Midland road relays.
                                       MIDLAND ATHLETICS ROAD RELAYS
A fast leg from Jake Stickley produced the foundation for Banbury Harriers to finish in 7th place in the under thirteen boys of the twenty one competing teams at the weekend in the Midland Road Relay Championships held at Sutton Park. Stickley ran the second leg after Owen Knox first leg had placed the club ironically in seventh place with a time of 15minutes 28 seconds. He immediately made progress and began to move through the field to reach the takeover in fourth place in a time of 15minutes 14 seconds. This time gave him second fastest on the leg and eighth overall. Blane Carpenter took the baton over, thou the team slipped back to 7th place it was an highly satisfactory performance on the day.
 An under thirteen girls team also represented the club they finished 20th of the 29 starting teams. Tia Williams ran the fastest leg of the three girls with a time of 16minutes 33seconds. The other two girls were Zoe Pollock and Gracie Hawkins.
Harriers also had an under seventeen’s boys team taking part and they finished 16th of the 26teams. Luke Sherlock ran the fastest leg of the trio with a time of 13minutes 59seconds. The other two were Will Thompson and Gregor Kelling.
