Report from the Chiltern league at Slough

                                         APEX CHILTERN CROSSCOUNTRY LEAGUE

Banbury Harriers athletes kept themselves on course for honours on Saturday in the fourth of the five fixtures in the Apex Chiltern Cross-country League. The fixture held Upton Court Park in Slough normally a fast parkland course proved quite the opposite after the recent heavy rain falls. This did not deter The Harriers members from producing some of their best performances of the winter.
The senior men’s race produced an excellent team run with Tim Wright leading the way in third place. Not too far behind in sixth place came Tom Offord, with reliable veteran Simon Pritchard in 10th place.
The senior ladies race also produced good runs from Ros Kelling and Michelle Bartlett in fourth and fifth places both keeping them in strong contention for the top prize in their respective veteran age groups
In the younger age groups Luke Sherlock finished second in the under seventeen boys race and young Skip Snelson fourth place in the under eleven boys race kept him second overall after the four races.
