                                                       BASINGSTOKE OPEN MEETING

Banbury Harriers young athletes continued with their build up for the coming season at Basingstoke on Saturday in conditions not as favourable as the previous week. This still did not restrict them from a number of ideal performances.

 Helen Dubber although not quite so fast has her club record win last week .Still produced a fast winning time in the under fifteen girl’s 75metre hurdles with a time of 12.11seconds.  She also produced season’s best in the 100 and 200 metres.

 Paige Cooper also did likewise in the same age group events and Victoria Harte achieved a personal best in the shot putt.

Felix Noble lowered his best time in the under fifteen 200metre heats to reach the final but failed to repeat this in the final.

 The White Horse Half Marathon attracted a field of 500starters on Sunday. The starters featured Simon Pritchard and Phil Coy from Banbury Harriers, the former finished in 24th place and the latter in 144th place.
