SOUTHERN INTERCOUNTIES UNDER THIRTEEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Three of Banbury Harriers under thirteen members competed for Oxfordshire at Kingston-upon-Thames in the Southern Inter-counties team championships on Sunday. All three produced good performances and gained personal bests in their events.
Owen Knox set his best in a high standard 1500metre race and for the second time dipped under 5minutes. With a strong finish he crossed the line in 4minutes 57.57seconds.
Matilda Donachy recorded her best in both the 100 and 200metrres, with times of 15.26seconds in the former and 32.66seconds in the longer distance.
Maddison Cooper gained her personal best competing in the long jump, just failing to leap 4metres she cleared 3m96centre metres.
