Chiltern league at Keysoe

Emily Thompson was the star for Banbury Harriers in the second round of the division two Chiltern League Cross-Country on Saturday. Running in a combined under-15 division one and two race Thompson waited in the pack early on before pulling clear over the last 800 meters to win comfortably.

In torrential rain Tim Wright finished 6th in the senior men followed by Simon Pritchard in 13th, Bruce Hendrie 71st but also an excellent first in the M60 category, Phil Coy 78th, Geoff Smith 110th and Andy Bartlett 122nd. Gregor Kelling also produced a good run to finish 3rd in the under-17 men’s race. In the senior woman’s race Harriers gained a first and second place in the F45 Category with Ros Kelling followed home by Michelle Bartlett and an terrific overall team position of 4th place in the senior event with support from Rebecca Biegel in 30th and Lisa Ansell in 61st to add to the 6th and 8th places gained by Ros and Michelle overall.
