Cross country report

Chiltern league at Luton

On a weekend that included both Chiltern and Oxon mail league cross-country’s it was perhaps little surprise that only a small band of Harriers decided to compete in the first part of this challenging double-header. The Chiltern league event was staged on Saturday 6th at December at Stockwood Park in Luton on a bright but frosty morning and although the team was small in size they still managed to produce some notable results.

Tim Wright ran a terrific race for 4th place in the senior men followed by another quality run from Bruce Hendrie who was first M60 home and 57th overall. Phil Coy followed in 5th M60 and 84th overall and Andy Bartlett in 16th M60 and 122nd overall. In the Ladies event Michelle Bartlett took the honours when first home in the F45 category and a very impressive 8th overall, she was followed in by a really good run from Rebecca Biegel in 10th F45 and 36th position overall.

A particular well done must go to Tim, Phil, Andy and Michelle who all competed for the club again the following day in the Oxon Mail event.
