Some notes from Felicity
Hi Everyone,
Thank you to all of you for all your efforts yesterday both to the athletes, officials and parents who were kind enough to help out wherever needed and I hope everyone got back safely. I have now attached a copy of the results (above) which have just come through from Tamworth.
There were some really good performances along with some excellent PBs in difficult conditions for track times and combined with the fact that you all pulled together as a team with many of you being willing to try a new event 'just for a point' or having to compete in an older age group. Consequently despite the low numbers we were able to finish in third place as a team.
Hopefully those of you who were injured competing yesterday will be fully fit in time for the next meeting and most of those absent due to rugby, football and DofE will be able to complete. So please do not forget to put the next league meeting which is at Banbury on Saturday16 May in your diaries. If we can manage to field a fuller team then I am sure we can beat get ahead of both Sutton Coldfield and Tamworth.
