Fresh from victory in the Oxon County Champs on Saturday 23rd May Emily Thompson produced another top class performance finishing second in the Bupa Westminster mile under-15 girls race on Sunday.
Thompson finished in a stunning time of 5.05 which ranks her 6th place on the all-time under-15 UK girl’s mile list, one place behind current international Jess Judd. On the day Thompson finished second behind Kathleen Faes who became the first UK under-15 girl to go under 5 minutes for the mile, recording a time of 4:59. The presentation was made in front of Buckingham Palace by Steve Cram (pictured) with Thompson (right), Faes (centre) and Saskia Millard (left) who finished third.
