Three recent road races.

Recent road race results.

On the 31st August Phil Coy ran the Headington road race which was also the county 5 mile championship event. He finished in a time of 34m 39sec and 5th position in the vet 60 class in which he also gained a county bronze medal.

The next day Skip Snelson ran in the Helmdon Hurler a hilly 4.3 mile road race. He took it in his stride beating many seasoned athletes to record a time of 28 min 46 sec He finished 20th overall out of 112 competitors and first U18 even though he is only 12 years old, a fantastic achievement.

Last week also saw the end of the Mota-vation series with the Oxford 4 mile road race. This is a 5 race series with the best 4 scoring towards the overall prizes. The best in the club by far was Michelle Bartlett who came first W45 in a time of 26.43 and also gained first place in the series. The full series positions are yet to be decided.

Also running were Tim Wright 21.34; Simon Pritchard 23.42;Phil Coy 27.44; Neil Wallis 30.27; Neil Forbes 30.45; Rebecca Biegel 30.49; Andy Bartlett 32.49 and Claire Goodwin 33.24.
