Ann was nominated for the Oxfordshire Sports Awards in the Unsung Hero category for her massive 18 years contribution to Banbury Harriers as coach, official and team manager. She was interviewed by Radio Oxford on Friday morning, and went to the Awards Evening at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford with Ros and her daughters Tash and Ali (pictured with Ann) Friday evening. There were over 320 people at the awards evening where they were treated to a bucks fizz reception and 3 course meal. A huge variety of sports were represented from cycle speedway to disability rugby, and ages from an Under 15 girls football team upwards. After an interview played on the big screen, and a tentative wait, Ann was awarded runner up spot to a very deserving gentleman from Oxford Ice Hockey Team who had more or less kept the team going for well over 20 years. Sorry Ann – you are going to have to stay for longer! A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all.
