Report from the last event at MK.

CHILTERN LEAGUE – DIVISION 2

 

Banbury Harriers ladies teams again showed great team spirit and consistent good results this winter to secure 2nd place for the veteran ladies and 3rd place for  the senior ladies teams in one of the biggest leagues in the country.  Despite missing Rebecca Biegel due to illness the team of  Ros Kelling 3rd (1st F45), Michelle Bartlett 7th (2nd F45), Lisa Ansell 38th and Sandra Smith 63rd secured their second place overall.  When combined with Becky Pull in 29th place they also kept their 3rd senior ladies team place.  

Ros and Michelle were also awarded gold and silver medals in the F45 category in the league. 

In the senior mens race Tim Wright was 5th, resulting in a bronze medal as a reward for his consistent racing this season, Simon Pritchard 25th, Phil Coy 63rd, earning him a silver medal for M60 for the season, Neil Forbes 93rd and Andy Bartlett 98th

In the junior races Owen Knox showed he is getting some fitness back in 8th place (U15 boys) with Tia Williams also 8th in the U15 Girls race. 

Despite missing the last race of the season Emily Thompson (U17 Girls) had done enough previously to retain her first position in the league
