Bert Rowett came away with a PB in the 800m with a time of 2:00.8 minutes. Charlie Shepherd was in action in the shot put and got a distance of 6.79m.

Garreth Aldous was in great form as he continued to throw PB’s throughout the day with a best of 33.19m in the discus and 17.21m in the hammer.

Rebecca Scott managed to get second place in the long jump, with a jump of 4.70m and she also jumped 1.45m in the high jump. Jess Lay finished 3rd in both her events, with 23.97 in the hammer and a PB in the 1500m.

The athlete of the week goes to Alfie Rowett, for his club record time of 48.5 seconds in the 400m.

I would like to nominate my female athlete of the week as Rebecca Scott. Not only did she compete so well over both days but she also played a large part in the clubs officiating duties, helping us out when not competing.
