Chiltern league report

The fourth, and penultimate, race in the Chiltern League was held at Keysoe Equestrian Centre on Saturday.  The relatively flat course, with a water jump to negotiate,  suited Emily Thompson (U17 Women) .  After leading for much of the race she tired towards the end and settled for 2^nd place.  The senior women again put out a strong team in an effort to move up from 4^th place.  With their best results of the season Ros Kelling in 5^th and Michelle Bartlett in 6^th were 1^st and 2^nd V45’s.  Lisa Ansell made up a very pleasing 33 places on her last run, and was followed home by Sarka Bishop (42^nd), Sarah Andrews (43^rd) and Rebecca Biegel (54^th).  This gave the team 3^rd place on the day, but still 4^th overall.  This makes 3^rd placed Bearbrook difficult to catch in the last race at Milton Keynes in February.  In the mens race a slightly under par Tim Wright was 4^th, Phil Coy 89^th and Neil Forbes 103rd.
