"Alex Scrivener had the race of her life at English Schools XC on the 18th March.
Held at Norwich showground over a fast, flat course and with over 344 runners in her category of Junior Girls Years 9/8.
With a good start but into a strong headwind Alex tucked in with the leading pack holding a solid position throughout the race before making her break in the last 200 metres and clinching a bronze medal and securing her place in the England Team for SIAB in Wales next weekend.
Alex's target all season has been the English Schools race in the hope of securing a place in the top 8 so was delighted to find that she had not only achieved her goal but had bettered this with an individual medal."
In the senior girls race Rose Lord had a strong
run coming home second Oxfordshire finisher in 134th place.
