We only managed 2 teams on the county road relays this year. an U13/15 girls team and a veteran mens team. We were always up against it with the vets as we were pitting V60 and V65 runners against V40's .
The girls team ran well with Tilly Lainchbury running the first leg in 7m 02. She handed over to Nikola Bishop who ran her leg in 07.49. Elizabeth Eskender ran the last leg in 8.08. The last two having to run their legs on their own.
The Mens team started with Simon Pritchard finishing in 20.07 (fastest harriers leg) next was Bruce Hendrie in 22.20. third leg was John Moss,representing Harriers for the first time in 25.39. he handed over to Neil Forbes who's time was 24.11. Next was our second new Harrier Mark Scrivener in 23.15. Phil Coy ran the "Glory leg" in 22.43. We beat 2 senior teams so avoided being followed home by the sweep cyclist. In the overall results Bruce was first, Phil second and Niel third in the vet 60 class but no prizes.
