YDL League Banbury Saturday 20th May - Report by Liz Scrivener

Banbury Harriers Juniors continued their winning streak with a superb match victory on home turf for the second round of the Youth Development League.

U15 Boys set the bar high with personal best performances from Daniel Kemp 1st in Hammer (28.30 G4), Kody Johnson 1st in Shot (10.56 G4), Skip Snelson 1st in 1500m (4:35.2), Alex England 1st in 200m (26.5) & Christopher Charles 2nd in 800m B-String (2:35.0). A win in the relay and very well supported by team mates Oliver Clamp, Sebastien Edwards, Ben Upton, Simon Daenen, Benjamin Shawcross, Jasper Bell & Morgan Young all picking up valuable points.

U15 Girls were not to be outdone with additional personal best performances from Tegan Armstrong 2nd in 75m Hurdles (12.0 G2) & 1st in Shot (6.81), Emelina Darvell 1st in Shot (8.63) & 2nd in Hammer (20.26), Tyla Robinson 1st in Discuss B-String (18.50) & 1st in 100M B-String (14.2), Lucy Paul 2nd in 100M (14.0) & 3rd in 200M (28.8) and Shannon Gilkes 2nd in High Jump (1.20). Again, well supported by fellow team mates Iris Moore, Rosie England, Sophie Howie, Nikola Bishop, Georgie Speck, Elizabeth Anderson.

U13 Boys gave a very strong performance with personal bests from Ethan Aldous 1st in 100M B-String, Archie Jones 2nd in 75m Hurdles (15.9), Evan Phipps 3rd in 75m Hurdles B-String (16.8) & Ruben Snelson 2nd in 1500m B-String (5:39.1). Another relay win and well supported by highly placing team mates Jake Lindley, Henry Pollock, Archie Street, Charlie Evans & Mathew Daenen.

Last but not least our U13 Girls with a personal best performance from Raegan Sellers 2nd 70m Hurdles (12.6 G4), backed up with a win in 800m for Florence Tuthill (2:46.3), 3rd in 150m for Inka Moyaert (22.7), 2nd in 75m B-String (11.9) and 2nd in A-String Javelin (13.29) for Ellie Williams, 2nd in B-String Shot for Caitlin Dubber (4.31) and 1st in B-String Javelin for Eimear Moss (11.11) plus a relay win and very strong performances elsewhere from Tilly Lainchbury, Sophie Lyons-Reid & Harri Jones.
