CHILTERN LEAGUE SATURDAY 11TH NOVEMBER

Banbury Harriers travelled to Milton Keynes for the second round of the Chiltern Cross Country League which was combined with the national Cross Challenge League ensuring large numbers in each race.  It also gave athletes the chance to line up alongside Great Britain runners such as Andy Vernon, Gemma Steel and Jess Judd.

In a field of 460 runners in the senior mens race Philip Vincent was first Harrier home in 245th, followed by Phil Coy in 355, Jonny Carruthers 372, Mark Scrivener 384, Neil Forbes 425 and Glyn Pritchard 441.

In a close race at the front of the senior ladies Jess Judd came home first, closely followed by Gemma Steel.  The Harriers ladies again had a good performance to keep them in 4th place overall with Michelle Bartlett in 67th, Ros Kelling 80th, Lisa Ansell 134th and Rebecca Biegel 198th

In a top quality field in both the U20/U17 ladies and mens races Emily Thompson was 39th, Grace Bell 96th and Owen Knox 70th
