The final round of the 2019/20 Chiltern League cross country season was held at 
Campbell Park, Milton Keynes on Saturday. Under sunny skies, the underfoot conditions were mainly good with some very boggy patches which became more cut up as the day went on. Mollie Davis got Banbury Harriers off to a good start in the U11 girls race, and clearly enjoying the hills had a very strong run to come home 5th out of the 71 runners. Joshua Hall finished 64th in the U11 boys.
In the U13 girls race Isla McGowan set off with the lead pack, and tired a bit towards the end, but was happy with her 3rd place in division 2, and just missed an overall prize for the season. Charlotte Hall, showing consistency over the season came 12th and the U13 girls team were rewarded with bronze medals for their
seasons efforts.
U13 boy Sam Davis was another Harrier content with his run on the day, just being pipped on the line for 9th place. Leo Parry just getting into the season was 20th.
Tilly Lainchbury, knowing she had a chance of winning the U15 girls title for the season, set off with intent and hung on with the lead pack for the early part of the race. Loosing a bit of ground as the race progressed she was highly delighted that her efforts were enough and she was awarded with the 1st plaque for division 2 U15 girls. Freya Pamphlett ran a really solid race in 15th place.
Good to see a team of 3 U17 girls running. Getting stronger as the season goes on, Bea Jarvis was a very creditable 4th place. Georgie Speck was 10th, one of her best results of the season, and Nishi Kaura 17th after doggedly sticking with a Northampton athlete.
Harriers masters runners, not to be beaten by the junior members, also came home with trophies. Phil Coy had a very consistent season to be rewarded with first M60, and Andy Bartlett was 3rd in the same category, showing dogged determination does pay off.
Ros Kelling had a solid run in 18th place overall, which was enough to give her first F55 for the season. She was joined by a highly delighted Lisa Ansell who clearly enjoyed the short sharp hills and increasingly boggy patches and had her best run of the season in 28th overall and 9th F45.
