Leave M40 Junction 11.  At roundabout take A422/Hennef Way towards Banbury. Go straight on at the second roundabout continuing on the A422/Hennef Way. Turn left at the third roundabout onto Concord Avenue towards the Town Centre. Turn right at the fourth roundabout onto Cherwell Drive, from where you can access various car parks, see car park map on the website.

From Warwick Oxford or Coventry take the Castle Street exit at the Warwick/Southam Rd Traffic Lights. See also the map on the web site.

There are several car parks that are all within walking distance of the start.

Please be aware that some of the usual car parks near to the Leisure Centre are closed pending development in the area but there are still plenty available.

Car Parking charges apply on a Sunday.

The Venue

Leisure Centre Sports Hall race Headquarters is to the right hand side, at the rear of the building. Toilet, changing and showers are available in the building. Baggage can be left but be responsible for your own valuables.

All races start & finish near the entrance to the park. To get to the start, from the Leisure centre go through the car park via the footway to the entrance of the car park. Turn left until you come to the temporary steps taking you down to the level below and go under the green bridge, the park is 150 yards on the right. There will be toilets at the start area so please DO NOT use the local hedges as this could jeopardise us being able to hold future races here.

Banbury 15 course:

Is mostly on country roads, please run on the left, except where indicated otherwise by Marshals There is a section near to the start & finish where we require you to run on the footpath please do not run in the road. You will find the course fairly fast but there are sizeable hills about 1.5, 8 & 11 miles. Drinks will be available at about 2, 4, 8, 10.5 & 13miles. Due to normal road conditions there may be pot holes anywhere on the route but mainly between miles 7 and 8.  Finally the course will be narrow at the start, so please allow faster runners to start at the front in the interest of safety and good sportsmanship. See the map on the web site.

Will be on sale in Spiceball Park and also in the café  in the Leisure Centre

Race Numbers:

Are to be collected on the day from Race Headquarters,  in the Leisure Centre from 9.00am.

Please go to the Banbury Harriers website for maps, results and any last minute information such as inclement weather.

Final Word

It is a pleasant scenic course, so enjoy the race, take care, keep to the left, look after yourself and fellow runners, follow the Marshall‘s instructions with good grace and try to minimise any possible objection to the future running of the race.

Personal music devices/ear pieces are NOT allowed to be worn or you will be disqualified as these may prevent runners from hearing traffic that approaches from behind and also the ability to hear marshal's instructions.
