Turn right at the next roundabout then left at the next on to Spiceball park road which will bring you to the race car parks. The nearest postcode is OX16 2PA.The Leisure Centre is across the white bridge.

From Warwick Oxford or Coventry take the Castle St exit at the Warwick/Southam Rd Traffic Lights. See also the map on the web site.

Parking

Please park in the twin storey car park or the open air car park (before you cross the white pedestrian bridge to the Leisure Centre) and not in the Leisure Centre Car Park as it is required by other Leisure Centre users and is more expensive. Car Parking charges apply on Sundays.

IN THE EVENT OF THE CAR PARK BEING FULL THERE ARE OTHER NEARBY PARKING AREAS.

The Venue

New Leisure Centre Sports Hall race HO is to the right hand side, at the rear of the building. This is where you can collect your numbers.

Toilet, changing and showers close by. Baggage can be left but be responsible for your own valuables.

Starts

All races start & finish near the entrance to the park. To get to the start, from the Leisure centre go across the white bridge turn immediately right and go under green bridge, the park is 150 yards on the right. There will be toilets at the start area so please DO NOT use the local hedges as this could jeopardise us being able to hold future races here.

Banbury 15 course:

Is mostly on country roads, please run on the left except where indicated otherwise by Marshall’s. There is a section near to the start & finish where we require you to run on the footpath please do not run in the road. You will find the course fairly fast but there are sizeable hills about 1.5, 8 & 11 miles. Drinks will be available at about 4, 8 & 10.5 miles (Cropredy Village). Due to normal road conditions there may be pot holes anywhere on the route but mainly between miles 7 and 8. Finally the course will be narrow at the start, so please allow faster runners to start at the front in the interest of safety and good sportsmanship.

Runners have been seen on the right hand side of a straight road, if seen again runners could be disqualified.

All 15 Mile Finishers will get a special Memento.

Refreshments & services:

Will be on sale in Spiceball park and also in the cafe in the Leisure Centre. Also the town centre is very close by and has a large range of services.

Web site

Please go to the Banbury Harriers website for maps, results and any last minute information such as inclement weather. http://www.banburyharriers.org

Final Word:

It is a pleasant scenic course, so enjoy the race, take care, keep to the left, follow the Marshall‘s instructions with good grace and try to minimise any possible objection to the future running of the race.

Personal music devices/ear pieces  including bone conductive types are NOT allowed to be worn or you will be disqualified as these may prevent runners from reacting to traffic that approaches from behind and also the ability to hear and react to marshal's instructions.
