latest info on the last race at Harwell

The last cross-country league race of the season takes place on Sunday at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Harwell, and we’re hoping for a good turnout to finish the season!

Details/directions etc are on the  Oxford Mail XC website: http://www.oxonxc.org

Please note that there is a £3 parking charge, and the times of the last 2 races (seniors) have switched i.e. senior men at 11.25, before senior ladies at 12.05

As you know the January fixture was cancelled, so this fixture is being combined with the Oxfordshire County Championships – there will be one race for each age group but 2 sets of results.  The majority of Banbury runners have automatically been entered into the County Championships as well as the league, but there is a small entry fee of £2 juniors and £5 seniors to run in the County Championships.  Runners can choose on the day whether to pay this fee, or can run in the league only with no entry fee.  Runners entering the County Championships will wear the same race number as in the league but with a red background (these will be available on the day).

There will be certificates for all finishers in the junior races, medals for the first 3 in each age group and team prizes.  Funds raised will be used to support the development of athletics and athletics events within the county.
