Inter counties championships

                                          CAU INTERCOUNTIES XC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Six Banbury Harriers competed for Oxfordshire in Saturdays televised CAU Inter-Counties XC Championships at Cofton Park Birmingham.  The three females produced the finer results from their colleagues.

The best run of the day came from Tory Mobley in the under seventeen girl’s race, when finishing 28th of the 300starters. The course slightly changed from previous years offered now an uphill finish which Mobley handled strongly.

All the races had 300starters and again a strong performance came from Emily Thompson in the under fifteen girl’s race. She finished as third Oxfordshire runner in 71st place this again offers much for her in the coming track season.

The third lady once again defying the age barrier was Ros Kelling, also finishing as the counties third finisher in 195th place.

The three males can be pleased with their performance’s, young Owen Knox came home in 214th place in the under thirteen boy’s race.  Also in that finishing place was Luke Sherlock in the under seventeen boy’s race and in the under fifteen boy’s race Gregor Kelling finished in 264th place.
