Report on the 4 mile race at charlton On Otmoor

The Mota-vation Road Race series started last week at Charlton-on-Otmoor with the usual 300plus field.  Banbury Harrier Tim Wright was first home of the local club runners in 15th place, young Paddy Haynes from Adderbury Road Runners was next in 30thplace. The two were followed by a large number of Cherwell Road Runners, with Dan Pebody leading the way in 35th place. Behind him came Ian Thomas in 50th place, John Carter in 72place, Adrian Fairhurst in 75th place and Dewi Thomas in 77th place.

I was also in this race that was run in a downpour. The men were held in a pen at the start and we all got very cold. The whole race was run in pouring rain and the road was under water in places. I would like to thank Michelle and Andy who marshalled, which would have been no fun in those conditions and I know they also got very cold and wet.
