LAG meeting at Tamworth

Sunday's third round of the YDL lower age group at Tamworth saw more excellent performances by Banbury Harriers athletes.

U13G Tegan Armstrong continued her excellent form to take 1st place in both High Jump with 1.31m & 70m hurdles in 12 secs. Her U13G team mate, Maddy Dowden took 2nd place in the 70m hurdles B-string in 12.8 secs followed by an impressive 1st in Shot Put with 6.67m, smashing her old PB by 57cm.

U13G Reagan Sellers took 2nd place in 150m with a new PB of 22.1secs. There were further PB's in the Under 13 girls for Sophie Howie (800m), Shannon Gilkes (75m & 1200m) & Lucy Thompson (Javelin).

U13B Christopher Charles continued his impressive form with 1st in Long Jump with 4.62m, 0.6m clear of his nearest rival. He also produced a great throw of 25.01m to take 2nd in Javelin.

Archie Jones produced a fine PB in 100m finishing 3rd followed by another 3rd in 800m B-string. Charlie Evans achieved PB's in both Javelin B-string & Shot Put.

In the Under 15 category, there were PB's for Lizzie Eskender (20.89m in the Hammer) & Maia Cook in both 200m & 300m.

Under 15B Kit Duggan had some impressive performances taking 1st in 800m B-string, followed by 2nd places in 300m B-string & High Jump. Alex England made his debut for the club with a strong 3rd place in 200m B-string. Kody Johnson produced a great throw to take 1st in Javelin & Oskar Moyaert took 2nd in the Javelin B-string. Skip Nelson took 2nd place in the 1500m whilst Stanley Bull set a new PB of 6.35m finishing 1st in Shot Put B-string.

At the end of the day, in light drizzle, the Under 13 boys & girls took strong 2nd places in their respective relays. Kit Duggan, Skip Nelson, Stanley Bull & Oskar Moyaert produced an amazing run in their 4 x 300m Under 15 boys relay to storm home in first place well clear of their rivals.
