10 mile road race in Portsmouth
Last weekend four Banbury Harriers joined the other 16000 runners making the trip down to a very windy Great South run. However, their trip was not in vain, coming back with three club records and 4 brilliant PB’s. Michelle Bartlett, who has been nursing a bad foot, was first over the line in 568th place and 6th W45 in a time of 1.09.15, lowering her club record by one and a half minutes. Next was our super vet Bruce Hendrie in 1082nd place and 5th M65 in a time of 1.13.23, this lowering the club record by over five minutes. Lisa Ansell was the third runner finishing in 1.20.17 and 2574th place with a seven minute PB. Rebecca Beigel finished in 1.28.55 lowering her own W50 club record by over eighteen minutes whilst raising well over £300 for the stroke association and finishing in 5186th place
