Club Christmas holiday

Please be aware that as usual the club will be closed for the two week Christmas/New Year period, therefore the final training session of 2014 will be Thursday December 18th and we'll resume on Tuesday January 6th at the usual times. Don't forget the cross country on the 4th of January.

May I also take this opportunity to thank all of the Coaches, Team Managers, Committee members and Helpers for their hard work throughout the year - the club could not exist without the time and effort of all of these volunteers.  Mark - club secretary.

Next event

Hooky Christmas Canter on 21st December then the Oxford Mail cross country and county championships at Culham on 4th January.

We are looking for road runners interested in joining our training group

Looking to start jogging?

Want to run with other people?

Training for a race and need support and advice?

Come and join us at Banbury Harriers and share our passion for running whilst making new friends.

We are a really friendly club and welcome different ages, abilities and speeds from beginners to experienced athletes. We are ONE team.

Beginners!

Don’t worry about slowing people down - as people join we make sure no one is left behind and we support them.

Experienced runners!

We enter many varied events - cross country, track and road from 2 mile fun runs to marathons and beyond. We can offer you

  • regular training partners (especially on those cold frosty winter nights or wet miserable Sundays when will power is low)
  • coaching / advice from more experienced runners
  • fantastic facilities - showers, clubhouse, synthetic track and indoor winter strength training.
  • varied and new running routes in the area
  • the safety of running in a group
  • cheaper racing
  • a good social life around and away from running
